Goalkeepers

Name: Craig BIBBY

Previous Sunday League Club: Railway F.C. 

Profile: "Bibby" is the regular Shadwell goalkeeper. A big, agile lad who is a very good shot stopper. Craig had an excellent season last year that saw Shadwell F.C. crowned as Division 2 League Champions. One of the jokers in the side who likes to keep everyone amused!

Name: Tony CARPENTER

Previous Sunday League Club: Pakenham F.C.

Profile: "TC" is a very experienced goalkeeper that has got Ridgeons League experience behind him having previously played for Thetford Town F.C. A very good shot stopper who is extremely vocal throughout a match. A good trainer and a good character to have within the club.

Name: Mark SNOWDON

Previous Sunday League Club: Unattached

Profile: "Snowy" is an excellent, young goalkeeper who possesses great agility. Mark brings immediate confidence to his defence with his excellent organisational skills and superb shot stopping. A great lad to have within the squad, and yet another individual to have Ridgeons League experience behind him.

Name: Colin TYMS

Previous Sunday League Club: Abbey United F.C., Kennett & Kentford F.C., Norfolk Terrier F.C.

Profile: "Tymsy" is a valuable player to have within the squad as he has proved to be a more than adequate understudy to Craig Bibby. Colin has a wealth of Anglian Combination experience behind him having played for local Saturday side Thetford Rovers F.C. and has always done a solid  job when selected for Shadwell F.C. An excellent player to be able to call upon when required.

Defenders

Name: Stuart AWCOCK

Previous Sunday League Club: Green Dragon F.C.

Profile: Stuart is an extremely versatile player who could play well in any outfield position although he is best recognised as a centre back. An energetic player who loves to get forward at every opportunity. "Stu" made 7 league appearances last season chipping in with 2 league goals.

Name: Kenny BROOKS

Previous Sunday League Club: Dragon Athletic F.C.

Profile: "Brooksy" signed for the club midway through the season and has proved to be a tremendous addition to the squad.  Kenny is strong in the air, tenacious in the tackle and brings a lot of experience and confidence to the Shadwell defence. "Brooksy" has extremely quick feet for a big lad, and possesses a wide variety of skills including his superb range of passing. Kenny is a versatile individual who has Ridgeons League experience under his belt and much will be expected of him this season.

Name: Stephen CRAWSHAW

Previous Sunday League Club: Green Dragon F.C.

Profile: "Crawsh" could prove to be a very important signing for Shadwell F.C. A vastly experienced defender who has Ridgeons League experience having played for both Swaffham Town F.C. and Thetford Town F.C. respectively. An excellent reader of the game who has a great touch and is always an aerial threat from set pieces. Voted the "Breckland & District Sunday Football League Player Of The Year" in 2004/05 Season for some outstanding performances for the Green Dragon.

Name: Alex DAGRACA

Previous Sunday League Club: Dragon Athletic F.C.

Profile: Alex signed for Shadwell F.C. at the start of the season from Dragon Athletic F.C. Alex is a versatile player who is more suited in a full back role or as a winger due to his lightning pace. Alex loves to run at players and take them on and has got Anglian Combination experience behind him as he currently plays his football for local Saturday side Thetford Rovers F.C. Despite his size Alex will be looking to make a huge impact this season for Shadwell F.C. An excellent signing and acquisition to the squad.

Name: Mark DEAN

Previous Sunday League Club: Breckland Spirit F.C.

Profile: "Chopper" is the Club Captain and always gives 110% comittment, determination and effort when playing for Shadwell F.C. "Chops" deservedly won "Manager’s Player Of The Year" last season with some accomplished and assured displays for the team which helped secure the Division 2 Championship Title. A versatile player who has made the right back spot his own, although he can also switch to centre back when required. A tough player who never shirks a tackle and a Captain who leads by example on and off the pitch. "Chopper" will be hoping to pick up some more silverware for Shadwell F.C. this season although it will be a bigger ask this time round.

Name: Jack DENNISS

Previous Sunday League Club: Unattached

Profile: "Jackleton" was a regular starter for Shadwell F.C. towards the end of last season after taking his chance and making an impact when coming off of the bench. Jack is another versatile player who can play anywhere in midfield although last season saw him play most of his football for Shadwell F.C. at left back where he put in some solid performances. A popular squad member who is tough tackling and very competitive. Jack also possesses a thunder bolt of a shot.

Name: Samuel DICKENS

Previous Sunday League Club: Unattached

Profile: "Smudge" was a major player for the team last season with some outstanding and mature performances that saw him deservedly pick up the " Players Player Of The Year" award at our end of season Presentation Night. It’s very easy to forget that Samuel is still only 17 years of age as he is an extremely composed player who reads the game well and plays it simply. " Smudge" formed a solid partnership in central defence with Daniel Lott that saw Shadwell F.C. conceede the fewest amount of goals in both divisions. A rising star with huge potential, he will be able to test himself against the best this season.

Name: Paul HOLDSWORTH

Previous Sunday League Club: Unattached

Profile: Paul only made 2 appearances for Shadwell F.C. last season due to injury problems and work commitments. Paul is a solid centre back who is strong, extremely good in the air and an excellent organiser of the defence. A massive threat from set pieces he will be looking to play some part in Matt Spencer’s team plans this season.

Name: Daniel LOTT

Previous Sunday League Club: Unattached

Profile: "Lotty" is a versatile player who played most of last season at centre back although he can also play in central midfield or as a centre forward. A major threat from set pieces, "Lotty" is full of energy and never stops running due to his high fitness levels. A key player to Shadwell F.C. if they are to push for more honours and success this season.

Name: Raymond LOTT

Previous Sunday League Clubs: Sportscene, Redcastle Storm

Profile: "Lotty" is a solid centre back who is a highly competitive individual and born winner. Ray was a key player for Redcastle Storm last season and he played a major role in helping secure "Storm" to a league runners up position just behind Green Dragon F.C. A tenacious tackler, powerful in the air and extremely vocal, "Lotty" was voted the "Breckland & District Sunday Football League Player Of The Year" in the 2005/06 Season. Ray will bring more experience, organisation and strength to the squad. An excellent signing for Shadwell F.C.

Name: Paul O'BRIEN

Previous Sunday League Club: Unattached

Profile: "Pob" is an "old fashioned" centre back who reads the game extremely well and brings immediate confidence to the defence when called into the squad. "Pob" only made 2 appearances for Shadwell F.C. last season as his main commitment was toThetford Athletic F.C. on a Saturday. The situation this season is much the same as last, however, he is an excellent squad player to be able to call upon when needed.

Name: Mark SLACK

Previous Sunday League Club: Unattached

Profile: "Slacky" is another versatile player who can play at full back or as an out and out winger. A player who is naturally fit that plays the game simply, but who also loves to get forward and help support his team mates. "Slacky" scored the vital second goal in last season’s 2-0 League Cup Quarter Final victory over Weeting Sunday.

 

Midfielders

Name: Tommy BROWN

Previous Sunday League Club: Unattached

Profile: Tom is another utility player within the Shadwell F.C. ranks who can play anywhere in midfield or in a centre forward role. Tom has a good touch and is probably more a creator of goals than a scorer of goals due to his unselfishness. An excellent team player who has a first class attitude.

Name: Luke Catchpole

Previous Sunday League Club: Unattached

Profile: Luke is a recent addition to the squad and is also Matthew Catchpole's younger brother. Luke is a hardworking midfielder who loves to get forward and support the strikers, chipping in with his fair share of goals. An excellent range of passing and a superb first touch Luke currently plays on Saturday's for local Ridgeons League club Thetford Town F.C.

Name: Matthew CATCHPOLE

Previous Sunday League Clubs: Pakenham F.C., Dragon Athletic F.C.

Profile: "Catchy" is another new addition to the Shadwell F.C. squad this season. An excellent player who is at his best in a central midfield role, although he can play out wide or up front too. Matt is another player who has Ridgeons League experience having played for Thetford Town F.C. "Catchy" will be looking to have an injury free season this year and make an impact for his new club.

Name: Tony CORNWALL

Previous Sunday League Club: Unattached

Profile: Tony is a cultured central midfield player who can spray the ball around the pitch with ease due to his superb range of passing. A hardworking an honest individual; he is a key player in the Shadwell midfield. Tony will be looking to continue his fine form from last year although he will want to have more of an impact infront of goal this season and finally register his first goal for Shadwell F.C.

Name: Steven DAVIES

Previous Sunday League Club: Bridge F.C.

Profile: "Dimple" is a natural winger who loves to run at players with his lightning pace. A goal scoring midfielder who was Shadwell’s joint top scorer last season with 22 goals in all competitions. "Dimple" is excellent in the air and will be another key player for Shadwell F.C. as they strive for more success in only their second competitive season.

Name: Tommy DEAN

Previous Sunday League Club: Railway F.C.

Profile: Tommy is probably the most versatile player within the squad as he can play anywhere in defence, midfield or attack and do an equally excellent job wherever he plays. It’s the sign of a good player and "Deano" is certainly a manager’s dream from that perspective. Tommy deservedly won "Most Improved Player Of The Year" last season for his outstanding performances in a number of various positions. "Deano" is an all rounder as he can tackle, pass and run at players. Shadwell's regular penalty taker who chipped in with 8 league goals last season.

Name: John MOORE

Previous Sunday League Club: Bridge F.C.

Profile: John is another new player brought in this season after previously playing for the Bridge F.C. An excellent passer of the ball, John is also one of the fittest players in the squad and has great stamina. John is naturally left footed and can play at left back, left midfield or in a central midfield role. An excellent signing that gives manager Matt Spencer further options with his team selection.

Name: Adam O'BRIEN

Previous Sunday League Club: Unattached

Profile: "Adz" is a winger who can play on either flank, although last season saw him used mainly on the left hand side of midfield. Adam deservedly picked up the "Best Attitude" accolade at last season’s Presentation Night in recognition of all of his hard work that he had put into training and matches. "Adz" always gives 110% for the team and has improved significantly as a player since breaking into the team.

Name: Dean SOFLEY

Previous Sunday League Club: Bridge F.C.

Profile: Dean is an excellent player who is mainly usually at left back or left midfield for Shadwell F.C. A tough tackling player, "Sofley" is also very attacking minded and loves to run and take on players. Dean can also provide excellent, dangerous balls into the box from set pieces for one of his team mates to get on the end of. A clever player who is always going to be a threat to the opposition.

Name: Stuart WILLIAMS

Previous Sunday League Club: Pakenham F.C.

Profile: "Stu" is a true professional and a born winner with his never say die attitude. A natural central midfielder who just plays the ball simply but effectively. "Stu" previously played for the county in his younger days and has also represented Thetford Town F.C. at Ridgeons League standard. A hugely experienced player whose knowledge of the game is second to none. An excellent squad player to be able to call upon when required.

Name: Robert WYLIE

Previous Sunday League Club: Unattached

Profile: Rob only made a total of 3 appearances in league and cup competitions for Shadwell F.C. last season due to injury and work commitments. Rob is an extremely committed player who will do any required job that he is asked to do during a match. A strong player who can operate on the left hand side of midfield or in a anchor man role in the centre of midfield. Rob plays the game with a smile on his face and always gives his all for the team.  

Forwards

Name: Laurence BREEN

Previous Sunday League Club: Pakenham F.C., Bridge F.C.

Profile: "Breeny" is yet another new signing for Shadwell F.C. this season and will be looking to make a huge impact for his new club. A natural goalscorer, he has always scored goals at any club he has played for including Thetford Town F.C. at Ridgeons League standard. "Lol" is good in the air and is an excellent finisher, much will be expected of the prolific marksman in the forthcoming season.

Name: James DEAN

Previous Sunday League Club: Unattached

Profile: James is a young, enthusiastic striker who was a bit part player last season mainly due to work commitments. "Deano" always seems to be in the right place at the right time and that was emphasised in his goalscoring exploits as he notched a creditable 5 goals in 9 appearances for Shadwell F.C. last season in all competitions. A popular player within the squad, James will be looking to enhance his reputation further this season.

Name: James HIBBERT

Previous Sunday League Club: Unattached

Profile: "Hibby" was joint top goalscorer last season with 22 goals scored in all competitions for Shadwell F.C. "Jay" loves to run at defences and has a fearsome strike on him. A much improved team player based on last season’s performances, "Hibby" will be looking to continue from where he left off and get amongst the goals once again.

 Name: Ronald LOTT

Previous Sunday League Club: Breckland Spirit F.C.

Profile: Ron is an experienced striker who works extremely hard for the team. A strong and physical player, Ron is excellent in the air but also very good at holding the ball up and bringing others into play. Ron doesn’t let defenders rest for a second as he is always closing them down quickly, allowing them no time on the ball. Ron scored a creditable 7 league goals last season and will be looking to improve on that this season now the league has been re-structured to one division. A top club man and superb character to have within the club.

Name: Alyn ROURKE

Previous Sunday League Club: Kennett & Kentford F.C.

Profile: "Pud" is a defender’s nightmare as he is excellent in the air, extremely strong on the ball and deceivingly quick for a big lad. "Pud" made 3 appearances in total for Shadwell F.C. last season scoring an impressive 5 goals in return. A popular squad member, "Pud" will be looking to figure a lot more in manager Matt Spencer’s plans this season as he looks to stake a claim for a regular place within the squad. "Pud" is yet another player who has Ridgeons League experience having represented Thetford Town F.C. respectively.

Name: Matthew SPENCER

Previous Sunday League Clubs: Thetford Athletic F.C., Pakenham F.C., Breckland Spirit F.C., Kennett & Kentford F.C.

Profile: "Spence" is the Player / Manager of the team and is another player who has represented Thetford Town F.C. at Ridgeons League standard. "Spence" has a good touch and is probably at his best in a free role just behind the strikers where he can create chances for his team mates. Despite his lack of pace he can still pick a pass and have a big influence within a game.
